You might be here because you've received a letter that we are transporting you or your loved one? Not heard of us? Likely not!
We are a home grown accessible transport company built by people like you who also drove kids ourselves! We KNOW what its like when you've got twelve different drivers every week. We know what it's like when they are late all the time! We know what it's like to be handing our child over, but we also know what it's like to be face on to the anxious child, the non verbal child, the family we've never met or spoken to before, to take your precious human and you just trust they are safe.
We believe we can make a difference to SEND Travel in Dorset. Are we ever going to get it perfect? Absolutely not. But we believe working WITH the families, the carers, the child/young person/adult *where possible* really can be an aid to the successful education or respite for you or your loved one.
Our offer
Every passenger has a unique set of needs. We try our best to match the passengers to the right driver.
Consistent Drivers
Our SEND team turn up every day. We try our best to ensure you have one or two drivers so they can build a rapport. We can offer a meet and greet, a chance for you to ask questions and for the driver to find out about what's important for our transportee. We need to know if they like music, windows down, smell sensitivity to aid a more positive day all around!
Female Drivers
Good female drivers are in high demand. We have a special team of committed women we are proud of.
Safeguarding
Every driver has a 'school badge' authorised by Dorset Council. They have six monthly DBS checks for 'adults' for their main taxi badge and 'adults and children' for the Dorset Council contracts we hold. Every driver must hold a valid safeguarding and first aid certificate undertaken by Dorset Council's training team to work on our contracts. We apply this on our Personal Transport Budgets as well.
Each car comes with a first aid kit and the drivers all have a location and speed tracked device that we can playback for our own internal auditing.
